HuntTheChicko — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 September 2026
HuntTheChicko ("the Game") is published by Ariamax, based in the Netherlands ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information is handled when you play the Game and how it is used. The short version: the Game itself collects almost nothing, but the advertising service inside it does collect some data, and we want to be clear about that.
1. Information the Game itself collects
The Game stores your progress and settings only on your own device. Nothing about your play is uploaded unless you choose to send a score to the online leaderboard.
If you choose to send a score to the leaderboard, the Game asks for an email address and sends it together with the player name you chose in the Game, your score and the level you reached. We keep one leaderboard entry per email address: the address is used only to find your entry again and to stop duplicate entries, and it is never shown to other players (they see your player name and score). Sending a score is optional; you can play the full Game without it.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Game shows rewarded advertisements provided by Google AdMob, an advertising service operated by Google LLC (or Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland). To deliver and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID); device and app information such as device model, operating system version, language, and the Game's version; approximate location derived from your IP address; and information about the ads you see and interact with, including whether an ad was viewed to completion so the in-game reward can be granted.
How Google uses this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and in the AdMob publisher information at https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543. You can manage personalised advertising in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads) and reset or delete your advertising ID there.
3. Your choices in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
When you first start the Game in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you will see a consent message that lets you accept or decline personalised advertising and manage the purposes for which your data may be used. Declining still lets you play the Game; you may see non-personalised ads instead. You can change your choice at any time from the Game's settings menu ("Privacy options").
4. Legal basis and data retention
For users in the EEA and UK, personalised advertising is based on your consent. Non-personalised advertising and fraud prevention are based on our legitimate interest in funding a free game. The Game does not retain any personal data on our side other than the optional leaderboard entry (player name, email address, best score and level), which is kept until you ask us to delete it. Advertising data is retained by Google under its own retention policies.
5. Children
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with an email address, please contact us and we will remove it.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights regarding the leaderboard email, contact us at the address below or use the data deletion page at /delete-data. For data processed by Google, please use the controls in your Google account and device settings. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be indicated in the Game or on this page.
